Most adults enjoy ringing in the New Year with parties, fun and games, and the kids normally get stuck with a babysitter. But kids may enjoy a New Year's Eve party as well – even though they may not be able to stay awake until midnight.
We’ve listed some ways to incorporate fun for children in the New Year's celebration:
- Stock up on party hats, whistles, streamers, and balloons. Let the kids decorate the house.
- Play games like Charades, Twister and board games.
- Camp out in your family room and discuss the year gone by.
- Make individual pizzas.
- Create a "Time Capsule." Fill a container with pictures and comments about current events and your family, and then bury it in the back yard.
